What is included in this course
Dear Students,
In this module dedicated to practical, what you will find is a broad overview of the major experiment types in Chemistry, such as:
- Volumetric Analysis
- Gravimetric Analysis
- Qualitative Analysis (Organic/Inorganic)
- Organic Synthesis
- Kinetics Experiments
- Thermochemistry Experiments
- Gas Collection Experiments
What you will NOT find in this module is the experimental techniques, how to calculate errors, how to present observations and deductions.
This module aims to give you the understanding behind why and how we do the experiments. This enables you to know what to look out for
and approach the practical in a systematic way.
Many students look at the thick volumes of practical manuals and throw their hands up in exasperation.
So we at Mr Khemistry have tried to distillate the important parts of the practical manuals and present it in as concise a format as possible.
How the sections are structured
- Summary Notes
- Practice Questions
- Worked Solutions
This module is meant to be used in conjunction with the school's lab manuals and actual lab practices.
It should not be studied as a standalone course.
May the resources here help you to get that coveted A grade!
All the best!
Cheers,
Mr Eric Kua
